Steve Earle has come up with an excellent way to help the music of his son, Justin Townes Earle who died recently aged thirty seven gain greater recognition. All but one song on the forthcoming album release is written by JT (the other a new song by singer-songwriter Steve. It will help himself through what is surely a testing time even for Earle. A healing period. JT will gain a digital release on Jan, 4th (Justin’s birthday) with cd and vinyl versions to follow in March (19th, 2021). 100 % of the artists advances and royalties from the album will donated to a trust for Etta St. James Earle, the three year old daughter of Justin and Jenn Earle. Father Steve says; ‘for me. It was the only way I knew to say goodbye.

Joining him on the album you have his band, The Dukes; Ricky Ray Jackson, Brad Pemberton, Jeff Hill and husband and wife team, Eleanor Whitmore (she plays some fantastic fiddle on Harlem River Blues, and I imagine is a key figure on the record as will be all members, not least Whitmore’s husband, Chris Masterson.
